Huge thanks go to our wonderful event sponsors SEQ Enviro Services, A&N Electrical and GC Caravan For Hire, Jakroo Australia and TopLine Cycles for their kind support of the Tour, and without whom, the event would not be possible.

Gold Coast Junior Tour – Individual (General) Classification
The GCJT will be run in accordance with the AusCycling Technical Regulations which can be found here: General and Road.

The overall winner of the tour in each category will be the rider who has the lowest accumulative time after subtracting bonuses and adding penalties for all stages, including the prologue and criteriums.

Calculating the times for individual classification – The following time bonuses will be deducted
from the general classification following each stage, excluding time trials and the prologue.
Stage Finishes:1st – 10 sec, 2nd – 6 sec, 3rd – 4 sec

*** Please note that a rider must complete each stage to continue in the tour. Being a tour, and not a carnival, athletes will not be able to pick and choose between races. ***

Medals will be awarded to the 1st-3rd place getters on each of the 5 stages. General Classification podiums will be presented with trophies, and the General Classification winners will each receive a Tour Winner’s jersey, proudly sponsored by Jakroo Australia

No one goes home empty-handed, however, as at the completion of the event, on the Sunday afternoon in Runaway Bay, we will have our traditional prize table, thanks to Topline Cycles in Nerang. The names of all competitors will be drawn out of a hat, raffle-style, and in that order, athletes will have their pick of the wide range of goodies from the table.

Venue catering: We will have a coffee van at the Gold Coast Cycle Centre in Nerang on Saturday as well as in Guanaba for the Road Race and at the Luke Harrop Cycle Track in Runaway Bay on Sunday. We will also be running a canteen in Nerang on the Saturday.

Travelling from regional Queensland or from interstate? Looking for somewhere to eat after racing? Why not try the Nerang RSL, another of our wonderful sponsors?  They have a variety of food and beverage options to fill the stomach of any hungry athlete, and are just up the road from our Saturday venue!
Cadence Cafe, situated on Nerang Connection Road is also only a hop, skip and a jump from the Gold Coast Cycle Centre and serves a great breakfast!
There are also plenty of food outlets in Runaway Bay both on Oxley Drive and on Lae Drive, for those looking for a spot of lunch on Sunday. (However, we do ask you support the coffee van on site in the first instance.)

If you’re needing accommodation whilst on the Gold Coast, we recommend staying somewhere in the northern or central parts of the city. Saturday’s racing is in Guanaba and Nerang, Sunday’s racing in Guanaba and Runaway Bay
